Michael Stillitano, CPA, CGMA

Michael Stillitano is a strategic finance leader with a career defined by strengthening companies, improving financial performance, and guiding CEOs through growth, transition, and operational complexity. As Founder of Stillitano Consulting LLC, he partners with small and mid‑sized businesses to deliver financial clarity, disciplined execution, and long‑term value creation through tailored Fractional CFO services.

Michael’s expertise spans the full finance spectrum - CFO leadership, controllership, treasury, tax, accounting, and operational finance. He is particularly skilled in M&A integrations, including financial, operational, and legal consolidation; restructuring and turnarounds; and cash flow and working capital optimization. His approach blends technical rigor with practical, operational insight.

Mike began his career in public accounting, serving clients across medical, legal, professional services, real estate, and industrial sectors. He then spent the majority of his corporate career in the Transportation and Logistics industry, including three decades with a major global transportation company, where he ultimately served as Regional CFO. He later served as CFO for a family‑owned logistics firm, deepening his expertise in freight, supply chain operations, and service‑based business models.

Michael holds active credentials as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). He earned his Master of Science in Taxation from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business and his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the City University of New York, College of Staten Island - where he now serves as an Adjunct Professor of Accounting and Tax and a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board.

A committed leader in the profession, Mike serves as Secretary of the Board of the New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJCPA). His prior roles include Board Trustee (2020–2023), Strategic Planning Committee member, Chapter President (2016), and Chairman of the Chapter Operations Committee. He is also a member of the AICPA, FEI, and FENG, where he serves as Co‑Chair of the Transportation and Logistics Industry Section. He has served on multiple private company and nonprofit boards and is currently Treasurer and Executive Board Member for the Monmouth Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Michael’s contributions have been recognized with the NJCPA Distinguished Service Medallion (2016) and the NJCPA Ovation Award – Impact Category (2019).

Outside of his professional work, Michael is a four‑time Marine Corps Marathon finisher, an enthusiastic golfer, and a dedicated supporter of St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the Fisher House Foundation, and the Wounded Warrior Project.
