Michael Stillitano CPA, is a C-Suite finance leader, who drives P&L growth, working capital improvements, business process efficiencies, cost control and internal controls in small to large companies. In a career spanning CFO, controller, treasury, finance, tax management, and accounting roles, he has optimized profitable P&L growth by implementing a wide range of strategies, including restructuring, turnarounds, business process enhancements, internal controls, risk management, payroll and benefit management, treasury, and cash management initiatives. Mike has a deep expertise in integrating financial, operating, and legal organizations following M&A activities.
He has served as a Board Member for several private companies and Not-For-Profit organizations.
Mike began his career in Public Accounting working with Small Businesses in various industries, including medical offices, law firms, other professional services, real estate and other industrial companies. The majority of his career was in the Transportation and Logistics industry. He held various finance roles, including Regional CFO at a large international transportation company and CFO for a family-owned logistics company.
Mike is heavily engaged and active in the finance and accounting profession through his appointment on various boards and his academic appointments.
Mike is currently on the Strategic Planning Committee of the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA). He was a member of the Board of Trustees from 2020-2023. Previously, he had been the Chairman of the Society’s Chapter Operations Committee (2018-2020), Chapter President (2015) and held various Chapter Officer roles (2009-2017). He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Financial Executives Institute (FEI) and the Financial Executive Networking Group (FENG), where he is Co-Chair of the Transportation and Logistics Industry Section. Mike received the NJCPA Distinguished Service Medallion in 2016 and the NJCPA Ovation Award in the Impact Category in 2019.
Mike serves on the Dean’s advisory Board at his alma mater the City University of New York, College of Staten Island, School of Business, where he is also an Adjunct Professor of Accounting and Tax. In 2023, Mike was appointed to the Executive Board of the Monmouth Council of the Boy Scouts of America, serving as Treasurer and Executive Board Member.
Mike is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), both are active. He earned a Master of Science degree in Taxation from Pace University, Lubin School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from City University of New York, College of Staten Island, School of Business.
In his spare time, Mike has run 4 Marine Corps Marathons (2015, ‘16, ‘17 and ‘18) and other various distance races. You could also find him on the golf course attempting to stay in the fairway and hitting from the low grass, but most likely in the rough, a sand trap, or under a tree.
Mike is a supporter of St. Jude Children’s Hospital, Fisher House Foundation, and Wounded Warriors Project.
